Reducing a product's quantity on every other channel as soon as it sells on one. This is the foundation of multichannel selling and the reason integrations exist at all. What matters is not that an update happens but how quickly: when the gap between a sale and its arrival on the other channels is measured in hours, selling the same unit twice is a matter of time; in seconds, the risk practically disappears. Manual updates and scheduled feed reads both widen that gap. See stock sync and overselling.
