All channels drawing on one real quantity instead of each holding a reserve of its own. Ten units are not split two per channel; every channel sees ten, an order anywhere takes the pool to nine, and nine is written everywhere. Splitting stock per channel does not prevent overselling; it costs you sales instead, because one channel runs out while another sits on units nobody can reach. If you want to keep the last few units for your own store, that is a rule on top of the pool, not a separate stock.
