Stock falling below zero in the system. It is never a real quantity; it is the trace of something else, usually a counting error, a return recorded before the goods arrived, an order written twice, or two systems writing to the same field. Left alone it spreads, because the channels receive a value that cannot be true and every report built on it stops meaning anything. Products that go negative belong on the count list; the correction is made in the source system and read back out to the channels. See stock counts and negative stock errors.
