Shadow mode and channel handover
What shadow mode is, how long it lasts, what it compares, and how write access is handed over one channel at a time.
Shadow mode is the watching step of onboarding. During this period Bulutegra works with your real data but writes nothing to any channel or to your ERP. It works out what it would do, compares that with the real values, and shows you the differences. Our rule is simple: before the system writes anything on your behalf, it has to show that it arrives at the same numbers you do.
How long does it last?
Usually one to two weeks. It is never cut short, and nothing is handed over until the numbers agree. Ideally it covers a weekend, when order patterns differ.
What is compared?
- Stock: the quantity shown on the channel versus the quantity Bulutegra calculates.
- Orders: whether every channel order appears in the panel and in the ERP, and whether quantities and amounts agree.
- Prices: the price on the channel versus the price calculated from your rules.
- Returns: whether return records are the same on both sides.
Differences usually come from a matching error, a manual change made on the channel, or a rule left over in your old system. Once the cause is fixed, the difference closes.
Where you see the differences
- On Channels → Channel Switches (Kanallar → Kanal Anahtarları), the sync rehearsal (eşitleme provası) column shows how many items would change on that channel if writing were switched on.
- The cards under Notifications → Alerts (Bildirimler → Uyarılar) list quantity, amount and warehouse mismatches one by one.
- In the Orders (Siparişler) list, the ERP filter's different (channel ≠ ERP) option shows orders that differ between the two sides.
Handing over channel by channel
The decision to hand over is yours. We do the first handovers together with you.
- Start with your lowest-volume channel. Any problem stays on that channel.
- Stock first. On Channels → Channel Switches, switch the channel's stock + price (stok + fiyat) switch on with on (aç). If that channel's Price rule (Fiyat kuralı) box is unticked in the Marketplace price rules (Pazar yeri fiyat kuralları) table on the Rules (Kurallar) page, only stock is sent; the badge says "stock only" (yalnız stok).
- Watch for a few days. If there are no differences, tick the channel's Price rule box and save; the badge changes to "stock + price".
- Switch on order transfer. Before you switch on order → ERP (sipariş → ERP; the panel shows your ERP's name here), the same job must be switched off in your old system for that channel. Only one system writes at a time.
- Move on to the next channel. Your busiest channel goes last. Don't hand over during campaign weeks.
Every switch change asks for confirmation. The Channel Switches screen is visible to the account owner.
The ownership flag
For every product × channel pair there is exactly one answer to "who manages this product on this channel?":
- Bulutegra: stock, price and content are written from Bulutegra.
- External system (Dış sistem): Bulutegra leaves this product alone on this channel.
- Nobody (Kimse): the product has been withdrawn from the channel or isn't managed; Bulutegra leaves it alone.
Because the flag works per product, you can start a handover with a single product group instead of a whole channel.
Rolling back
Switching a channel off with off (kapat) returns it to shadow mode, and Bulutegra stops writing to it. If your previous system isn't running, orders and stock won't flow on that channel, so keep your old subscription until every channel has run smoothly for a few weeks.
