What is Reconciliation?

Comparing the settlement report line by line with your own order and return records, and following up whatever does not match. Three findings recur: an order that was delivered but never paid, a return whose commission was never credited back, and an order that ends up negative once deductions are applied. Each needs a status, a claim reference, and a note, because resolution usually spans more than one period. Done every period it is routine work; skipped for a quarter it turns into archaeology.
