Product matching: SKU and barcode
How products are matched to channel listings, what an "unmatched" record means, and how to fix it.
Matching links every variant in your catalog (colour × size) one-to-one with its listing on a channel. Orders, stock and prices all reach the right product through that link.
Two fields do the work: the SKU is the internal code you assign, and the barcode is the product's identity, the same everywhere. A product whose SKU and barcode both agree is a firm match.
What does "unmatched" mean?
An unmatched record is a channel listing that can't be linked to any variant in your catalog, or a product on sale in your catalog that has no counterpart on the channel.
The panel flags the most dangerous case as Risky (Riskli): a listing that is on sale and in stock, but whose product can't be found. If an order comes in for it, it can't be written to the ERP, and its stock can't be updated. Fix these first.
Where to look in the panel
- Go to Channels → Marketplaces (Kanallar → Pazar Yerleri) and click a channel logo. The Pending jobs (Bekleyen işler) table on the channel page has these rows, each with an open (aç) button:
- Code matching (Kod eşleme): the product code on the channel doesn't match the one in your catalog.
- Data integrity (Veri bütünlüğü): listings with no barcode, listings whose barcode isn't in your catalog, or duplicate barcodes.
- Listing queue (Listeleme kuyruğu): products with no listing on this channel yet.
- Channels → Product Code Matching (Kanallar → Ürün Kodu Eşleme) shows the channel code and your catalog code side by side. A badge shows the type of match: SKU, parent product code, or matched by hand (listing without barcode). This screen never touches your listings.
- On the Marketplace mappings (Pazar yeri eşlemeleri) page, choose the Listing ↔ product (İlan ↔ ürün) type and use the Not mapped (Eşli olmayanlar) filter.
- On the Products (Ürünler) page, the No barcode (Barkodsuz) and Missing on live channel (Canlı kanalda eksik) filters list gaps on the catalog side.
How to fix it
- Find the cause. Most often a barcode is missing, a different SKU was entered on the channel, or the same barcode is used on two variants.
- Fix catalog gaps at the source. If a barcode or SKU is missing, update the product in your catalog source (for example ikas); the change flows through to the panel.
- Fix wrong codes on the channel. If the SKU or barcode on the listing is wrong, correct it in the channel's seller panel.
- Split duplicate barcodes. Every variant needs its own barcode; putting one barcode on all sizes breaks matching.
- Write to us about listings without barcodes. These can be matched by hand, and then show up as "matched by hand (listing without barcode)" on the Product Code Matching screen.
- Check the result. After the fix, the count in the Pending jobs table should go down.
Mappings used when creating listings
The channel equivalents of categories, brands, colours and sizes also live on the Marketplace mappings page. Rows marked "awaiting approval" (onay bekliyor) are never used until you choose. Use Select (Seç) or Change (Değiştir) on a row to set the right equivalent; if a product should not be listed on that channel, choose No equivalent / don't list (Karşılığı yok / açılmasın). You can undo a decision with Undo decision (Kararı geri al).
Good habits
- Fill in SKU and barcode when you create a new product.
- Assign a SKU once and never change it.
- Avoid spaces and special characters in SKUs.
